The results are in for the Illinois Journalism Education Association’s annual Newspaper & Digital News Media Contest! This year we received nearly 900 entries from a total of 30 schools.

In recognition of the outstanding work that Illinois high school journalists produced from March 2025 to March 2026, we are proud to announce our 2026 winners:

The names of student winners are currently listed as they were spelled on the BNC contest entry forms. We will correct any misspellings that we are informed of.
