Four Illinois student newspapers have been named Pacemakers by the National Scholastic Press Association.

They are:

• The Advocate, Washington Community High School, Haley Willis, editor, Jennifer Reiser, adviser

• Omega, Downers Grove North High School, Rachel Krusenoski, Nicole Williams, editors, Elizabeth Levin/Eric Landschoot, advisers

• The Central Times, Naperville Central High School, Shelbey Vandenbroucke, editor, Keith Carlson/Taryen Belasich, advisers

• The Oracle, Glenbrook South HS, Glenview, Julia Jacobs, Camille Park, editors, Marshall Harris, adviser

Winners were announced Nov. 8 at the JEA/NSPA Fall National High School Journalism Conference in Washington, D.C.
