The best student journalists in Illinois converged on the campus of Eastern Illinois University on April 28 to compete at IHSA Journalism State, just six days after seven sectional battles across the state.
What resulted was a tie for team champion, the first-ever top three placement for a downstate school, and cell phones filled with memories. Below, you’ll find:
