IJEA ADVISER SERVICE AWARD


THE AWARD: Each year, the IJEA seeks to honor active or retired scholastic media educators and advisers for special initiative on behalf of scholastic journalism in Illinois. Criteria for award recipients include the following:

  • Membership in IJEA
  • Initiative and service above and beyond normal classroom or advising duties
  • Specific benefit to fellow media advisers or scholastic media students in Illinois, but the nominee may also have impact beyond the state

PRESENTATION: The award is presented at the annual IJEA awards luncheon at the end of each school year in Springfield.

PAST RECIPIENTS: Previous recipients and advisers who are members of IJEA are encouraged to submit nominations for this award.

ANNUAL DEADLINE: This form must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. March 15 of the current school year.
