Thanks for deciding to join or renew with the Illinois Journalism Education Association for the 2018-19 school year! Your annual membership will be good from July 1, 2018, to June 30, 2019.
Our membership fee is $25 per year and will include one free publication contest entry (newspaper or yearbook).
WHY JOIN IJEA?
Your IJEA membership allows you to:
1. Enter your students’ work in our annual newspaper and yearbook contests.
2. Waive the entry fee for one of our publication contests (newspaper or yearbook).
3. Nominate your top senior for Illinois Journalist of the Year and our $300 prize.
4. Nominate your MVPs for our All-State Journalism Team.
5. Apply for or nominate others for our annual top scholastic media educator award.

10. Support our fall conference at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign — each year our conference energizes students and advisers with dozens of expert learning sessions.
11. Support our state tournament partnership with IHSA — for 10 years we’ve worked with IHSA to put on a statewide journalism tournament that begins with sectionals and culminates in a final that crowns individual and team state champions.
12. Enjoy the backing and fellowship of a statewide organization devoted to scholastic journalism — you’re not alone when you have likeminded women and men around the state ready to assist you when you need help and eager to celebrate with you when your students produce great work.
