The JEA Curriculum provides numerous resources for journalism educators

Does+anyone+have+a+great+lesson+plan+for+...

Typically, journalism advisers and educators are the only ones (or one of only a few) who teach that subject matter. It’s tough to collaborate and get new ideas at times — for all of us.

Enter the JEA Curriculum.

By joining the Journalism Education Association, you will get access to a full-bodied curriculum that has lessons, activities, rubrics and slideshows for just about any area of newspaper, yearbook, broadcast and multimedia advising — as well as resources for news literacy, ethics and the like.

If you are looking for a bit of collaboration closer to home, check out the IJEA Board Members list and contact information. Any board member would be thrilled to share resources, brainstorm ideas or just be a sympathetic ear for advisers in Illinois. We are a scholastic journalism family!

Follow @nationalJEA on Twitter for updates on the curriculum! (It continues to be updated by journalism advisers.)
