IJEA NEWSPAPER & DIGITAL NEWS MEDIA CONTEST

NEW EXTENDED DEADLINE:
ALL CONTEST SUBMISSIONS ARE DUE
BY 11:59 P.M. MARCH 30 OF THE CURRENT SCHOOL YEAR

NOTE TO ADVISERS: Because of the extraordinary circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are extending our 2020 contest deadline to 11:59 p.m. Monday, March 30. (The original deadline date was March 15 and then changed to March 23.) Good luck to all!

NOTE ABOUT FEES: If you owe a $25 membership fee or a $10 contest fee, you don’t need to submit a check until your school reopens. As long as you submit an Adviser Information Form and your membership is current for 2019-20 (i.e., you’ve submitted a membership form), your students will be eligible for this contest.

NOTE ABOUT SPECIAL CATEGORY: Because of the coronavirus pandemic, we are establishing a special category for this year’s competition: Best COVID-19 Coverage. This category is meant to recognize outstanding student coverage of the coronavirus and its impact. The eligibility cut-off date for entries in this category is March 30, 2020. Anything published in this category up to and including March 30 will be eligible for judging. The cut-off date for other categories remains March 15, 2020.
